Holiday home Casa Descansa

This 2 people holiday home is located on the first floor in the middle of Quinta Maragota. In the past this part of the farmhouse, located above the former grocery shop and café, was used by the women of the house, a place where they could retire to after a hectic working day. The name we have given to this holiday home, Casa Descansa (house to rest and relax), is derived from this history.

Private terrace 

Casa Descansa (40m2) has its own staircase to the first floor of the quinta. Adjacent, on the east side, is a large roof terrace over the entire length of the holiday home for private use, with lots of privacy and various sitting and relaxing areas, many plants and wide views over the countryside. On the terrace there is both sun and shade almost the whole day in every season.

Inside layout 

This holiday home has a semi-open layout. Living room, sleeping area and kitchen are connected, but are somewhat separated by a small difference in height, open archways and staggered walls. This gives both an intimate and spacious feeling. You first enter the living room, which is tastefully and comfortably furnished with a fixed corner sofa with fluffy cushions, an armchair and a window overlooking the roof terrace. A large arched passage with a small step leads to a spacious sleeping area with storage space for clothes, personal items and suitcases. From the bed you can see the sun rise through two sliding doors (to the roof terrace).

From the sleeping area you walk through a small open passageway to the kitchen, with plenty of storage space and various appliances, cooking and eating utensils. In the kitchen there is a small dining table and a window overlooking the roof terrace. Adjacent to the kitchen is the enclosed bathroom with toilet, spacious walk-in shower, washbasin and towel radiator. There is also a small window for ventilation. Towels, beach towels and a hairdryer are provided. For both cooling and heating of the apartment there is an air conditioner with cold/heat exchanger available.
